Pripyat was a Magfed paintball event hosted by OMG (Only Magfed Games) at RAF Upwood. For over a decade the disused MOD base has been privately leased. The mixture of graffiti and disrepair makes for a wonderful backdrop to action sports like paintball. OMG organised the one day test game at the Ex MOD venue for a handful of dedicated players, Just sixty in total. The game was promoted and organised via social media and tickets sold quickly for this site which is normally reserved for Airsoft players. NPF (National Paintball Fields) hold one of the biggest Paintballing events in the calendar attracting players from across the wider paintball community. All the various facets of paintball are represented, plus trade stands and other attractions to keep visitors entertained. Saturday night is the ever popular party where players can parade the cat walk in fancy dress to win the coveted Mr and Mrs Paintfest. 2016 saw well over a thousand attendees across the three day festival which climaxes with a six hour long battle between the fictitious USDE and HMC forces. Hailed as Europe's biggest paintball event everything about the North Vs South is on a massive scale starting with the site. Organised by Warped Sports on a thousand acre MOD site that boasts a forward observation fort, bridges, woods, aircraft hanger sized buildings and all interconnected with a network of roads. Attendees begin arriving as early as 6am on Friday but need to conserve their energy for that nights "Evasion" game where players must cross a mile of enemy territory. Along their journey they must locating and register at check points while dodging hostile patrols.
Lama Canyon are a Buckinghamshire based folk rock band formed by Peter Finnegan. This highly talented group play their own music at fairs and pubs through out the South East.
